The automotive and mobility industry in NRW is home to around 800 companies along the value-added chain, representing around 1/3 of the entire automotive industry in Germany. Around 200,000 people work in the areas of body construction, vehicle interiors, electrical and electronic components, intake and exhaust systems or research and develop the extremely sophisticated wiring system architecture of networked vehicles to realize the mobility of the future.
